Explore Canadian weather radar, satellite imagery, Graphical Area Forecast (GFA), and surface analysis charts.

Radar Map

• Access up to 3 hours of radar animations covering all of North America, including Alaska and Hawaii. Choose between Precipitation Rate imagery tailored for rain or snow, and customize animation speed, delay, radar opacity, and map type.

Radar Images

• Our location-aware feature automatically detects the closest radar station in Canada. Select from a list of 31 stations nationwide, including five regional views: Pacific, Prairies, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic. Animate up to 100 images calibrated for rain or snow in two preset formats. For a detailed radar coverage map in your area, please visit the Environment Canada website.

Satellite

• View GOES-16 weather satellite imagery in visible light, infrared, and combined modes. Choose between the Meteorological Service of Canada (MSC) or the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and animate up to 6 hours of imagery covering Canada and most of the USA.

Charts

• Explore Surface Analysis and Graphical Area Forecast (GFA) charts depicting weather conditions across Canada. The Surface Analysis provides a snapshot of current pressure systems and fronts across the country. GFAs offer a 12-hour forecast of pressure systems on a regional level along with details on expected precipitation, cloud conditions, turbulence, icing, and freezing levels. While mainly utilized by pilots, these charts provide valuable insights into prevailing weather systems within a specific region.
• Switch effortlessly between 0/+6/+12 GFA images as well as "Clouds & Weather" and "Icing, Turbulence & Freezing Level" views. Compare GFA pairs simultaneously without the need for constant switching.
